PROJECT LAUNCH

100% of RAW's seniors graduate high school with a plan for their future.

In 2001, RAW’s art therapy staff began working after hours to help teens navigate the complexities of the college process. In a community where the dropout rates were almost double the state average, many of our teens did not see the possibility of higher education. RAW believed it could change that reality. Twenty years later, we have built a thriving college and career exploration program - PROJECT LAUNCH.

For teens for whom college is not the right choice, Project Launch assists in finding career training opportunities. Launch also provides life skills workshops on topics such as how to dress for an interview, manage time properly, organize finances, and cook a healthy meal. Project Launch is more than a post-high school prep program, it offers real-life opportunities designed so youth can strengthen their abilities to navigate in the adult world.

ALL of our seniors graduate from high school and over 95% of graduates attend college or a workforce development program. RAW staff and a team of 1:1 mentors offer endless support and structure to help find the right path for each RAW teen. Launch helps seniors write strong resumes and essays, as well as job, college, and scholarship applications. Staff work with parents and guardians to help them understand college costs and the financial aid process.

RAW HAS HELPED ME SEE WHY I’M IN SCHOOL.  I HAVE GROWN MOST IN HAVING CONFIDENCE.  I LEARNED HOW TO SPEAK UP AND NOT BE SCARED TO JUST BE MYSELF.
