Creative Salon Experience

Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026

Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

In celebration of Raw Art Works’ BASH Reimagined campaign and this year’s youth exhibition, Undercurrents, RAW invites you to Meeting the Moment, an intimate, creative salon-style gathering at RAW’s studios.

This facilitated conversation will center artists, innovators, and cultural leaders exploring how creative expression responds to and shapes moments of social change. Together, we will reflect on the visible and invisible forces impacting our communities and the role of art in sparking thought, dialogue, and transformation.

The salon will feature celebrated artists, RAW alumni, and creative speakers in conversation, grounded in and inspired by the theme of Undercurrents.

RAW is bringing together art-lovers, collectors, patrons, supporters, and community leaders for a thoughtful and engaging exchange.

  • “RAW taught me hope. They showed me that leaning on others isn't a weakness, it's a strength. I learned that I could face challenges head-on if I truly believed in what I was doing. It’s okay not to have all the answers since asking for help is a sign of growth, not failure. "

    — Jaleel, RAW Teen

  • “While creating my art, I became more aware that the way RAW drives my community, my school, my friends and my family together is like nothing else in the city of Lynn, it’s what has made everything feel connected and safe.”

    — Christina, RAW Alum

  • “I support RAW because I believe in its mission and impact. The safety, support and empathy that hundreds of RAW artists find in this building, and their interactions with RAW staff, is life-changing. What happens at RAW creates a positive and long-lasting ripple effect across the greater Lynn community and beyond. RAW kids gain confidence, find their voice, and change their futures here. And the art they create is beautiful.”

    — Mike, Former RAW Board Member

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ART WEEK 2026 — Raw Art Works Presents: Undercurrents

RAW invites you to join us for our annual Art Week celebration, which includes:

  • Real to Reel Film Screening, May 26th from 6-8pm, The Cabot, Beverly

  • Exhibit Opening + Block Party, May 28th from 5-8pm, Raw Art Works, Lynn

We take this moment each spring to celebrate the creativity, courage, and accomplishments of our young artists and filmmakers. Both events are free and open to the public, and will feature a variety of works focused on this year’s theme, Undercurrents.

Undercurrents invites us to notice what moves beneath the surface of who we are, how we relate, and the world we inhabit. Like tides, roots, and mycelium networks, unseen forces shape our thoughts, our actions, and our connections to others long before they surface. This is a space to honor silence, witness tension, and recognize the courage it takes to let something rise to the surface and be known.

Through these works, we see how personal experience, collective memory, and cultural forces intertwine. What we hold inside, what we create, and how we connect ripple outward, shaping our communities and the world. Undercurrents asks us to acknowledge and give space to what is already there that is shaping our relationship to self, each other and the world.
